Special feature of my tank |
| My 2 15"giant clams has been kept for more than 3 years. They regularly emit sperm into the water column but they never emit eggs. I guess that they are not mature enough. The barnacles and other invertebrate spawn regularly(The water of the tank will turn milky in the spawning event). The biodiversity of my tank is great. Different types of spongy is noticed everywhere. Many copepod, amphipods and mysids can be found underneath the liverock. Bristle worm is found all over the sand bed. Corynactis californica (a small red anemones with transparent tentacles) colonised everywhere underneath the rock and ledge. | |||||||

Problem encounter The major problems of the tank is limitation of space. I have encounter a rapid tissue necrosis on some SPS coral which seems to be undercontrol now. The outbreak of the disease is triggered by introduce of a disease wild caught SPS colony. I also got valonia problem. The valonia is grown excessively between the gap of the rock. I deal with the problem by introduce a foxface rabbit fish. I hope I can fix the problem in the future. |
